Founding & Industry Standards

Claude Knuepfer established General Engineering Works in 1923 and served as a founding member of the National Screw Machine Products Association (NSMPA, now PMPA).

2nd Generation

1969

DuPage Establishment

Bob Knuepfer founded DuPage Machine Products in 1969 and co-founded the Alliance of Metalworking Industries (AMI) in 1974, leading national policy discussions in Washington D.C.

3rd Generation

Expansion & PMPA Leadership

Dave Knuepfer Sr. spearheaded facility expansions and modern CNC multi-spindle technology investments while serving as President of the Precision Machined Products Association.
